convert datagrid cells

hi,
i'm having datagrid with data at some cells
1)i want to convert some cells to textbox when clicking on the edit column
how am i doing it?
2)i created templete columns(edit cancel and update) how can i do that when clicking on edit the user will see the cancel and update columns and not the edit?
