Missing, Console Application in VS.Net 2005

This is for a friend not for me , he installed the whole VS.Net 2005 but when he select a new project he don't see the Console Application item.

I can't help him coz I don't have the 2005 version , I have 2003

What can he do to resolve this.

Which edition of VS does your friend have?
Is it VS 2005 Web Express?
Because that edition doesn't support Console Apps

If it isn't present on your friend's system I would suggest he try repairing his installation because the Console Application project template is standard.

Well I ran into a problem in 2005 where all of my templates were gone. There is a command you can run in order to reinstall the templates, which worked for me.

the command (assuming you are in the directory that contains devenv.exe):

devenv /installvstemplates
