i have this book and it is very good and if you are looking to purchase a vb book i would recommend this one highly

Some people have told me they don't think a fat penguin really embodies the grace of Linux, which just tells me they have never seen a angry penguin charging at them in excess of 100mph. They'd be a lot more careful about what they say if they had.

I have it because everyone says it is a "must-have" if you want to use API from VB.

It's good in that it means you can consult it rather than asking questions on here, but some bits are a bit heavy (for example the bit on screen reso i just skipped as soon as I saw it ). There are pleanty of examples and a pretty good reference section. I think there is also an updated Win32api.txt on the CD (apparently there are many mistakes in the original one)

If you haven't already, check out the Review
    .

It is pretty pricey though (US $60, UK £46.74)

You're right, there are a lot of mistakes in the supplied version

As I found out to my cost on many occasions, before I started using the API from C++ and actually worked out *** was going on

I don't usually use books because there are plenty of websites with information and examples.
I refuse to tie my hands behind my back and hear somebody say "Bend Over, Boy, Because You Have It Coming To You".
