    Hi,
1/ If I am trying to deploy an application on a server. The application uses a business dll for example. But the dll has already been installed as part of another application on another server. Do I still need to include the dll in my current InstallShield project.

If this is a COM dll and is installed to system32 and registered on the server, then no, you should not have to.

You should confirm both pieces of software that use this DLL use the same exact version however, otherwise issues can crop up. Also if they do use different ones, don't just deploy yours because it could break the other application. (aka DLL HELL)

If you are looking for InstallShield oriented forums, try a google search, or visit the IS website, which does have their own forums
