I have a MSI Inno3d MX4000 128MB, is it capable of running Silent Hill 4 and Devil May Cry 2?
How about an Ati R9250 128mb 64-bit R92LE DVI?
W/c of these video cards is better?

My Mother Board supports only AGP Video Cards, may a PCI-E Video Card will work on my MB?

ATI is better, the MX does not have Pixel Shaders 2.0

im not sure of the capabilities... are u buying the ATI? cause for not that much you could probably get a 9800

DMC2 is not very new.. so either should run it fine. not sure about silent hill

missed the last part.. No, PCI-E is a special slot, like AGP. so it will not work in your MB

My friend bought a Inno3d 6600GT, it is a PCI-E video card. His MB supports only AGP.
When he use it, it is still working but instead of 16X

I'm thinking about it.

Yes, well ok, it will work, but its pointless to get a PCI-E card w/o a PCI-E MB.. that like buying a Ferrari, but putting a 4 cyl engine in it

Devil May Cry 3 (I couldnt find anything about 2 being on PC so I think you mean 3.
Min -- 128 MB DirectX® 9.0c-compliant AGP or PCI Express graphics card (256 or higher for High Graphics Detail support)

There was no recommended for DMC3 though. But, it does depend on a pretty decent card to run correctly.

Your first choices will run Silent Hill no problem. If there is DMC2 then it should run it fine, as it was said already they are both pretty old games.

Not all motherboards support AGP or PCI-E, they are both special card slots. Most MB's come standard with AGP now though. Some with PCI-E. Depending on your choice when you order your computer. If you are unsure which your mother board has, and dont know how to tell the diffrence, the best way to get help with this would be call the manufacturer of your system to find out.

If they cant help, you could always post a picture of your motherboard here and we could try to help you identify it

I don't know the name of my MB.
My PC is far from me right now coz I can go home every weekend.

Here is the Description of my MB:
-Intel MB
-It only supports SDRAM PC133
-AGP Slot
-IDE HD
-Socket 478 (I'm not sure, but my Processor is a P4 2.4 GHZ)

The Whole specs of my PC:
-PC133 256mb SDRAM
-80gb Seagate Barracuda
-Intel P4 2.4 GHZ
-MSI GeForce MX4000 128mb 128bit

Silent Hill2, Doom3, MegamanX8 & Need for Speed:Most Wanted runs well in my PC.

SH3 also won't run 'coz it looks for a Pixel Shader Video Card.

An easy way to get the info of your MB is:

If you're running Windows XP.. click Start -> Run and type in "msinfo32" without the quotes. In the system info window you should see a summary of the info. The mother board info is usually under:

System Manufacturer (Manfacture name)
System Model (MB model number)

From the system info you gave, Id agree that upgrading some things would help you out a lot in performance. Upgrading your motherboard would be the first thing to do. Keep in mind that updating your motherboard can mean having to update a lot of other parts too. So be sure to look into what you're getting first and see what else you will need.

As for what you have given, Id recommend upgrading:
- Motherboard
- Memory
- Vid card

Be sure that the new motherboard you get is compatible with your current processor. And any other things you computer currently has.

Now I have a new pc (gift from a client, already used)

Mother Board: Gigabyte GA-K8VM800M v1
Processor: AMD Sempron 3000+ 1.8GH
Memory: Apacer Tech PC3200 512MB(2x) 200Mhz

I am going to buy a Video Card today, I need a cheap one but have Pixel Shader v2.0 or higher.
I want to play Playstation2 games using PCSX2.
Should I go to NVidia or Ati.

Any suggestions?

I, personally, like both companies. I recently had a nVidia Geforce FX 5600 Ultra (128mb) card. It died out on me when I reinstalled Windows XP Pro after 4 years. So it lasted for a while. Im sure it still works, but for some reason it doesnt want to work with service pack 2.

As for my new card, I got a ATI Radeon X1600 Pro (512mb) card. Im very pleased with its proformance for its semi-small price tag. Before tax, this card costed me 184.99, the nVidia card was free (From a friend...)

I can't say which to choose over the other, because both cards gave me great proformance, and the Radeon is pretty new so I havent had it long enough to get a long time result over it to see how well it does over time. But so far its great.

I would suggest looking into certain cards in your price range about their stats, beings you said you need the pixel shader for the game. Compare cards from both companies in your price range and see which offers more for your dollar with what you need. Some cards may have an extra kick in it which is always a plus for you.

Also make sure you always check its compatible with your mother board. And that it is the right connection. (PCIe, PCI, or AGP)

No, they are two totally different technologies, this would also negate the added bandwitdh PCI-E was designed to create.

My PCI-E x16 X1600Xt runs smoothly on an x8 slot, and indeed doesn't actually do x16 at all, it was just stated as x16 in order to keep away from the agp side of marketing (or at least that's what i'm made to believe)
