Professional or Home edition? Have you tried to register it manually?

XP SP1? The rest of the world is on XP SP2. Why are you behind?
Is your VS updated to SP6?

"a victim of some piracy"?
sounds more like you stole your copy of windows @_@ you can't be a victim of piracy if you're the one stealing.

... and.. thats not really my problem right? if you think upgrading to sp2 will solve my problem.. well thats a different case..
... my problem is about vb6 and mswinsck.ocx file.. << the only file I cannot load as a component..

Re: mswinsck.ocx cant be loaded
perhaps it's corrupt or damaged, try finding an original file online to replace it with to check.
also, I don't think having SP2 would make any difference at all, especially seeing as how VB6 was not made for XP, so your version of XP should have no relevance to how it should work, unless there was a Winsock dependency update post VB6's last update (SP6), or something. I was just commenting.

Re: mswinsck.ocx cant be loaded
Maybe the cd that you install in your pc is the problem ... maybe its not a full version .... so that your saying your victim of piracy .... cause that its a pirated CD right .... ^^

Re: mswinsck.ocx cant be loaded
Try to re-install but using new cd ... not the cd included on your packgae .... you says you already register it .. i think there is no problem about your regustration and something else ... for me i think the version that you installed is the problem .... but try to consult others suggestion .....
