How to Disable WindowsXP control panel?
I did search but with no luck...
Is there a way i can disable the windowsXP control panel from showing up?
Can i just rename some file? and what is that file to rename?
Or Is it done in the Registry? Where and How?
Thanks for any replies...

Re: How to Disable WindowsXP control panel?
Because i have a vb6 project App that wants to disable it(Control panel or some of it, like User accounts, Add/remove programs, etc). I want to restrict the user from creating user account with password, remove installed programs, etc...
so, do you think its possible?

it's more of a network group/user permission thing, not a VB application thing.

Re: How to Disable WindowsXP control panel?
Yes, you just need to set the appropriate permission level for your Windows user. Its not something that should be programmatically done.

Re: How to Disable WindowsXP control panel?
Ah ok.
but it can be done programatically...like, one click of a button and its all done for you...
anyways, thanks for the replies. But if somebody out there who may have the knowledge in automating such a thing, i'll leave this thread open for now...
