GroupBox or Panel. Take your pick, one is visible by default the other isn't.
I've just wasted 2 days porting 8000 lines of badly written VB.Net code into C#. VB.net has NO idea how to handle data. Also the guy who originally wrote it was clearly inadequately mentally equipped to handle the task at hand. I'm frankly amaz-...
...-ecause the classes were in some cases duplicated and renamed!!! Even the -...
...- in extreme cases, shot through the lungs.
Now I'm just going to write it from scratch the wossy way.

Re: vb.net rant
Problem I have with Panels and groupbox is that they auto grab controls unlike Frames in VB6. Makes creating wizards a nightmare

Re: vb.net rant
Basically you are talking about changing the backcolor (or font or something) of the groupbox and the way it alters the internal controls properties to match it?
I don't live here any more.

Re: vb.net rant
Basically it's new. I almost agreed with you when I first got into .NET. Didn't take to it until I started writing for PDAs. Since eVB was such a bad option, I went to the .NET CF out of necessity. Once I got comfortable with that, I went to the full IDE, and have never been able to bring myself to go back to VB6. Things are different, and don't always work the way you are used to, but much is better.
MSFlexGrid was a piece of dung and smelled mightily. The DataGrid is basically the FlexGrid, but it works.
My usual boring signature: Nothing

Re: vb.net rant
I dont mind the coding its the interface and form design that gets me, mainly frames and the fact that you can accidently move a frame out the way and lose it in another frame. I prefer the VB6 frames.
I also dont like the fact they have got rid of shapes as I like to use them to divide up sections and improve the overall appearance
