vb.net deployment
I need to package and deploy my vb.net program and I am not sure how to go about doing it. I would also like to include the .net framework with the setup package.
If it is possible I would like someone to give me simple instructions on how to do this.
I am using Vs2003

Re: vb.net deployment
I looked at both solutions but I still did not find how to add the .Net install if it is missing from the client's computer. I need to check for this and if it is not there, install it.

Re: vb.net deployment
Did you add a setup project to your solution?
I dont believe the framework is for redistributing but there is a bootstrapper for it on the ms site. The setup project detects if it is installed or not and if not it prompts the user for downloading.

Re: vb.net deployment
yes I did add setup to the solution and I did see where setup checks for .net. I didn't correctly understand that it would prompt to download the.net install.
Thanks, I will give that a try.

Re: vb.net deployment
Make sure that when you test it it is on a system without the framework on it.
