    You can't..........you guys have tried to explain it. I've never had it but I still don't know what it is except a "hot" spicy Indian dish that the Brits have adopted as their own.

    in North India and with almost anything
    in Britain
    Thats the best definition i can give...
    Now don't ask me what Chappatthi is

    I would say curries are (by and large) heavily spiced stews.

    What really defines it as 'Indian' is the types (and blends) of spices used.
