[RESOLVED] Computer dies playing games
ok, so i'm trying to enjoy some FPS action but my computer just keeps dying on me as if the plug was pulled... sometimes 15mins, sometimes an hour+. It only seemed to have started happening in the last couple of weeks
I tried reinstalling my graphics drivers & i've also monitored the memory usage - nothing funky seems to be going on
I don't really have clue as to what might be causing it, any suggestions?

Re: Computer dies playing games
My brother had this issue. There's some hex value in the properties you have to change to 60 (I think?). The same thing happened with Fable, but after changing it, it worked. I am searching for it now, but can't quite find the article that solved it.

Re: Computer dies playing games
I called my brother. He's on his way home and as soon as he gets on his computer; he's ging to call me back and remind me what the property was. It was something really easy, in the properties of the video card (the actual interface they give you) that needed to be changed.
I'll post back when I know more.

No worries 7, I think I've sorted it.
The air vent was a bit clogged so I gave the inside a vacuum and ran it fine with the side off - looks like it was just overheating
Finally I can again shoot things without fear.

I was just going to say check the air supply. I installed a new gfx card in my system a while ago. It worked fine until I wanted to get my game on. It just died everytime. Turns out that I burned the power supply's fan and the regular fan. I checked my processor temps; they were over 100*C. New fans did the trick.
