    Yes, I know, more spurious thoughts....

    How did Adobe come up with the name Acrobat Reader? Why Acrobat?


    Come to think of it tomcat is a bit of an odd name as well.

    so is Outlook. What's that supposed to mean.

    did it originate from...

    Bill: "Will you get this damn mail program working on time?"
    M$ employee: "Well, I'll have a go, but the outlook's not good"

    Bill: "By 'eck lad, that's a good idea for a name!"

    Acrobat - actually in the sense that it performs a great feat - platform independent portable document creation.
