CIA secret prisons.
So they do exist afterall.

Bush claims terrorists have been interrogated in these prisons and interrogation is tough but not torture. I think its suffice to say if he is claiming it to be tough, its probably worse than torture.

So now they can be moved into the general prison population. I'm sure they will be treated so much more better. Especially by Big Bubba.

Isn't there truth serums?

Re: CIA secret prisons.
From what I understand, Truth Serums are hypnogogic in nature, making the subjects highly suggestable, in so far as to induce false memories from the statements that the interegators make.
So, if you were under the influence of truth serum, and someone asked you what you were doing in the middle of the desert at a secret UFO base, you would fantasize a situation where you had been at Area 51, trying to break out a bunch of hairless alpha-omegan BEMs with the help of the Lone GunMen, while Muldeur and Skully were keeping a lookout just beyond the fence.
You'd be convincing enough, and just might come out from under the serum beleiving everything you imagined.
So, Truth Serum is not all its cracked up to be.

Re: CIA secret prisons.
This is essentially what truth Serums are (it's a very very similiar formula, just "refined" a little):
***NOT WORKSAFE (directory of various "recreational" chemicals)***
http://leda.lycaeum.org/?ID=703
There is no "magic medicine" that just "forces you to spill," but chemicals are used to relax you. It's not a hallucinagenic (so you won't see muldeur or skully), but it will encourage you to relax and possibly "entrust" your captors a little more.
After weeks of torture, you are put on the drug. Between the drug and empathy the captors show while you're on it; you have a better chance of breaking. They'll play with your head, tell you that "they don't like doing this" and "they feel horrible." Some will even move to an apology Whatever they can to gain your trust.

In a nutshell, Truth serums are not 100 % accurate.

So, I am curious Rory. Do you have religious rights in the Bahamas? I honestly don't know? I din't think it was a dictatorship, but I know very little about it.
