    What is the difference between compiling a dynamic Library and an Executable file???? Which one is better for everyday-use-applications???

    well, DLL's are more for code that would be used in many of your applications... you can not execute a DLL. it has to linked into your executable program at run time... hence the name DLL(Dynamic Link Lib.) So for "everyday" use you want to make programs executables and link in DLL's where you have common routines/classes for your applications. DLL's make your program more modular.
