Laugh, and the world laughs with you. Cry, and you just water down your vodka.
Take credit, not responsibility

Yep, I'm afraid so.
Here's our Acceptable Use Policy (aka rules). Your thread counted as an advertisement I'm afraid.

Re: my tool thread got deleted?
If I recall correctly, you were asking us for our development tools/utilities so that you could redistribute them. Being a member for a few years isn't worth taking VBF along with you. I'm new blood (obviously); so I don't know what it was like, but it's been good enough for me to stick around for almost a year. I plan on sticking around for another year as well (my apologies in advance).

actually what i was asking was NOT for your tools, i was asking for LINKS to your tools, i am not a redistributor, i would just link to ur tools to so maybe someone else would find your tools useful by going to YOUR site and downloading it fromt here

Re: my tool thread got deleted?
You were telling people about your own site, which provides links to paid software, and in terms of freeware competes with our own site (especially the UtilityBank, and the CodeBank to a lesser degree). In what way do you think that isn't advertising?

It does mean something to us (even tho you hadn't been around for a couple of years), which is why you have not been banned.
If you want to go use the proper channels to advertise/link to your site, I am happy to put you in touch with the appropriate people.
For any further discussion, it would probably be better to PM me rather than posting in a public forum.
