    Resolved [RESOLVED] excel syntax

    VB Code:
    1. Cells(i, 9).Value = "=SUM(R[K+1]9:R[i-1]9)"

i want to make a code line that actually selects a number of cells in excel and add them up .the selection is done as from (k+1) to (i-1) and result is return in cell(i,9).
actually there is a loop going on in the program to perform a number of additions .

    Re: excel syntax

Are they contigous cells or regions/areas? Also, is this in Excels VBA or VB 6?

    Re: excel syntax

    the situation is like this
as there are x (x can be any number) rows contigous(cells) i have to sum up a column and then write the sum in the fourth line that is blank
then again a diffrent number of rows sum them up and write it to the next line.
i am using vb 6.0 and excel 2000
the column number which i need to sum up is 9 and the resultant row number may vary
