    Resolved [RESOLVED] USB Flash Drive not working

    I don't know what happened but my flash drive isn't recognized by any pc anymore, it still lights when inserted in USB but I am prompted that my USB Flash Drive is not recognized, any recommendations?

    After you plug it in, go to Device Manager and scan for new hardware. Does it recognize it?

    Plug into a different computer. Is it recognized?

    Does it work in any other computers? If so then its a hardware problem on your computer. Otherwise, if the flash drive is old it may not work anymore. A flash drives is like RAM so if reflashes everything when you take it out of the computer. The drive can only withstand so many flashes. The number is outragously high but i have a few friends who it has happened to.

    I'm strongly agreed with lilwupster,

    First check your flash drive on another PC, if it will not recognized as a new hardware in devise manager.

    Even the flash drive is failed light can be on.

    And also you can try this.

    Install USB dispathch which include on your motherboard driver CD. I have done this befor prctically, like in your case.

    It didn't even worked on other machines but on my persistence it is already working again, perhaps I have scratched some rust which was affecting the drive...
