    Weird networking question

    Say you have 2 DHCP servers on the same network...what would happen?
    Can you have clients grab IP addresses from a specific server without modifying the netowrk structure (or anything on their computer)?

    The client machine will get it's IP address from whichever server is deems to be closest (god knows how it tells, probably ping time or something). As long as the DHCP servers aren't both allocating the same address range then they should both co-operate nicely. It's worth making sure if your machine is dependant on particular settings that both DHCP servers are set to issue those settings.
