    Question MP3 Players (Serious)

What MP3 players would be people recommend?

I am looking for something I can use down the gym so it needs to be small and lightweight. Min 1 GB preferably 2GB or more.

Oh and I am not keen on Apple in general

I have been looking at these

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...lance&n=560798 (Its cheaper off overclockers but this is the description)

    or

Most of my tracks are in Atrac because of my old player but I guess I can reconvert them

Don't buy anything without reading reviews first!

The first one you linked to has an amazing battery life but seems to be lacklustre in other areas.

The Sony MP3 player is good as far as I've heard, but I've never seen anyone with one of those. Of the two choices though, the Sony is the better one.

But look at a few Nomads. Nomads are pretty good in that they don't tie you down with proprietary conversions and transfer softwares, which I despise almost as much as your filthy hide.

Got the Sony but I got the 20GB version (NW A3000). The soudn quality is exceptional and the battery life is pretty respectful. The only sticking point is the Connect software, but if you download all the updates from the web first it's fine, and shouldn't be too difficult to use as you're a techie

The protection on it is pretty sweet too as I've dropped it onto my laminate flooring countless times and it's as yet unaffected
