    VB6 & Folder Attributes

    Hey,

    I have an application which manages students in a school I work for. Every time a new student is created this application creates a folder for them on one of our file servers. What I wanted to know is if it is possible to set the folder access permissions, and if it is possible, what needs to be done.

    NB:
    Compulsory User Accounts...
    ->Administrators
    Full Access
    ->SYSTEM
    Full Access
    ->NortonScanners
    Read/Write Access
    ->NBF2006
    Read/Write Access
    Execute Access

    Any help would be great

    Shouldnt you be using Active Directory mmc snap-in? You could create a security group that can be set with access to a shared folder and then its just a matter of adding and removing users from the security group.
