    Recent files not working anymore?

    Hello,

    When you start VB and you see the tab that says "Recent" with a list of recently opened projects.....It's not listing them anymore? Anyone know why and how to fix it?

    Reinstall VB
    Use [CODE] tags and rate useful posts

    VB: MSDN VBnet DevX vbAccelerator
    DB: W3Schools SQL TechOnTheNet's Oracle/PLSQL ConnectionStrings
    Misc (IT): Use XP look (manifest) in your apps (sample) MZ-Tools (free and cool VB add-in) Deploy your apps with Inno Setup
    Misc: Zeitgeist Movie

    ... so make the best of this test and don't ask why, it's not a question, but a lesson learned in time...

    Don't know how to repair it.

    Thanks, but I am looking for a way to repair it (without extraordinary means)... and not get around it.

    Check the registry for

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Visual Basic\6.0\RecentFiles

    Is any of your recent project written in there?
    Use [CODE] tags and rate useful posts

    And is the numbering there correct? (from 1 to n, without any gaps)

    I think these values are loaded into the Recent tab you were talking about (i've checked). Open and save a new project and check if it's value was added to the registry. If so, something is wrong with VB, if it doesn't load this values back.

    That's the problem.. It's not writing anything to the registry.
