Resolved [RESOLVED] Question based around binomial expansions

Use the binomial theorem to finnd the coefficient of x^8 in the expansion of
    (3 - 5x^2)^1/2 where |x| < 1.

I am also not entireley sure whether the same principles are used for non-integers, i would be very grateful for some assistance in this field.

Re: Question based around binomial expansions

    (3 - 5x^2)^1/2 = 3^(1/2)(1 - (5/3)x^2)^1/2

Then use following formula with n = 1/2 and x replaced with -(5/3)x^2 and multiply by 3^(1/2)
