You aren't serious, are you? What's the point? Take say Flexgrid as a base and make your user control with some extra features.

You could ... but like Rhino says ... why bother re-inventing the wheel ?
Is there any particular reason as to why you would want to start from scratch ?

Well as a beginner I think you maybe want to look at something a bit more simplistic.
I don't mean to be patronising saying that .... btu you may want to walk before you can run.

With all do respect but for the beginner it will be extremly complicated task to complete not to mention that majority of all components are NOT built in VB.
