    There is Eclipse, NetBeans, JBuilder and Sun Java studio

    But I prefer net-beans

    I find JPad Pro to be a good one, BlueJ is also very good if you are new to Java. But Netbeans is my favourite for sure

    Another program you could try is textpad is available from http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0....xtpad&tag=srch
    and its shareware

    There is no such thing as the best Java Compiler, but I must say JEdit is the best Java Editor out there
