Might sound stupid, one of my best is the the Microsoft Script Debugger - look this up under microsoft.com.

It's a free tool to download thaat colours your code as you type, but that's about it - no extra waffle inserted. plain & simple !

MultiEdit is good. Does all the coloured text and stuff. It can recognise ASP, HTML, VBScript, JavaScript, C++, and a load of other things. I'm not sure if the ones I mentioned are right, but there's a load of different languages it supports. You can have multiple files open in child windows too, which can be very handy.

Editor 99 is pretty good and you can customise ALL of the syntax-colouring options.

    extreemly dumb qwestion

hmm, my befunge code is not getting formated, it skips all the spaces, is there a html editor that let's you write text like they appear between code tags? I used mutliedit, looks cool but it's still a text editor, could have use for it when i make my java apps though.

I have the full version if you want it. If you want to keep the formatting in your HTML, just <pre> and </pre> tags.

    http://www.msdn.microsoft.com/scripting/

if you still need it Kedaman. I found that the scripting part of Ms's site had an error on the page !!!!
