    serial communications

    Hello

    i was wondering if ethernet (802.3), usb, firewire and UART are all serial communications

    Ethernet, usb and firewire are. A UART is an integrated circuit, usually used to implement RS-232 or RS-422, which are hardware specifications for serial interfaces. (A UART actually has 2 ends - a parallel end and a serial end.)
    The most difficult part of developing a program is understanding the problem.
    The second most difficult part is deciding how you're going to solve the problem.
    Actually writing the program (translating your solution into some computer language) is the easiest part.
