    Resolved [RESOLVED] Auto_open procedure

    Is it possible to bypass the Auto_open procedure whwn opening a Ms Office document.

    With Microsoft Access, holding the shift key while opening the database will bypass any code that runs when the database is opened. Maybe this will work for you.

    Auto_open event is old. The "newer" event is the Document_open or workbook_open. Which office product are you in need of bypassing this event for? Have you tried disabling your macros depending on the app?

    Opening with disabling the macros did it. The shift key wasn't working. Thank you

    Near the top right of the page is the Thread Tools drop down list. In it you will find the Mark Thread as Resolved menu item. You just need to click it and it will autoupdate the first post with "[Resolved]" and change the subject icon to the green check mark.
