[serious] legality of p2p links
hi all i know that most p2p downlaoding is illegal. but are the programs itself illegal? like lime wire, bittorrent etc? and would be posting a link to these programs on a site be illegal as well?

p2p applications aren't illegal. Using them in an illegal manner is illegal.

Bittorrent has many uses outside of the illegal world. Many linux distros and game updates use bittorrent-like utilities to get information to users efficiently.
