    can someone point me to free help file authoring tools .the ones that i have either have time limits or require a serial to activate.

    something similar to mgtek help producer(mgtek.com)

    alright .i think i have to learn it a bit.ne idea of point and click help compilers .i'm just too lazy to do learn anything new right now

    Plenty. There are point & click compilers (like RoboHelp, if you don't value your sanity) and there are free compilers. There are no good free point & click compilers.
    The most difficult part of developing a program is understanding the problem.
    The second most difficult part is deciding how you're going to solve the problem.
    Actually writing the program (translating your solution into some computer language) is the easiest part.

    Please indent your code and use [HIGHLIGHT="VB"] [/HIGHLIGHT] tags around it to make it easier to read.

    There is a good HTML help authoring tool available at http://www.vizacc.com It is free
