[Serious] Who owns an XBox 360?

I am considering getting one for Fight Night 3 and the upcoming Gears of War. What are some other really good games you have played that would be worth getting?

I have one.

I bought Dynasty Warriors 5 (Love this series), Fight Night Round 3, Oblivion, Fifa and some less then impressive dog fighting game.

I would recommend FIght Night and Dynasty Warriors. That's about it in that list (Oblivion is fon for like... 2 hours and then it's painfully redundant).

Fight Night is a definate. Played it on the regular XBox and it was fun as hell. I have been considering Oblivion for the PC but not sure if I have the patience for it. I used to love RPG's but haven't seen one that will hold my interest for long ever since FF7. I'll check out DW and see what that is about.

It's just alot of killing (I mean... KOing). You pick from a hundred overpowerred samurais and take on huge armies. There's also empire mode where you conquer adjacent lands, get more officers, make stronger armies and take over more land.

I like it.

I played COD and I really like it, multiplayer and single player are really fun.

My friends like metal gear solid? I think thats it

I don't know. Unless you have a Hi-Def tv, the blaring advantages of a 360 are cut down a lot. I have played Fight Night and it does look and plays very very very well, but I don't have hdtv at my house so it doesn't live to full potential. I'm personally saving for a Wii. Until then, I have my new favorite game to hold me over. GUITAR HERO!

Oh. I've also played DW. I like it a lot and according to my history buff friend, it's somewhat accurate. For me, it gives the "we know what we're talking about" vibes.

no really there is a BIG improvement over the regular xbox.. even not on an HDtv

FightNight I enjoyed.. not my usual game type.. but graphics are incredible

Racing? Burnout was good.. PGR was Excellent. NFS lots of fun
my choice is NFS:MW (Need for speed) just for the fun factor
PGR is excellent if you like incredible realism
Burnout is excellent if you like super high speed crashes...

BF2 SUCKED
Graw is really good (Multiplayer FTW)
COD is good.. (I dont like WWII shooters though)
Quake.. Ok.. a good rental
GOW will be awesome.
Lost Planet is AMAZING! (Cant wait for its release.. the demo was outstanding)

Oblivion was too in depth for me.. I like RPGs more like Fable (Fable2 is in the works for X360!! YES!!!)
Kameo is loads of fun with excellent graphics

Chromehounds (cant remember.. is it out yet?)
anyway.. looks to be a winner

Haha. Well, that's pretty much true though. I don't know. I didn't see many super-obvious differences. It would be my number two next-gen console choice. Fable 2 looks freaking sweet. The one game that could possibly make me buy a 360 early is Dead Rising or something like that. Man killing zombies with soccer balls, chainsaw, and statues never looked so fun.

If any of you have plated Halo 2:


On Coagulation, if you stand on 1 base with a battle rifle, and zoom in, you can actually see and shoot people on the other base if you're using the 360.


That should hint at the quality upgrade

Agreed. I never saw the appeal. It may be the best console FPS, but sucked for an avid PC gamer. Of course that just may be my bitterness to it after MS bought them up and ruined what was going to be an outstanding PC title, but ended up a watered down console game.

damn sony though for buying off the devs.. they had been plugging away developing it for the 360 when sony came along and paid them off for a times exclusive. so now we have to wait. But I do love that the stuff shown at E3 was actually 360 footage LOL

Which is funny as when it was announced the next GTA would have exclusive features on 360, Sony was talking about how exclusive content and games are meaningless and yet they sure did let people know how exclusive GTA 3 was. lol Silly Sony.

I spent way too many hours playing Unreal. Back in my day, that was the halo. There was nothing more nerve racking then playing one on one against your friend for 15 minutes in one of those massive enviroments (massive for 2 people); only to get pummeled by a railgun. Of course, the sleep deprivation and caffeine benders don't help either.

I loved Halo. It is the only FPS that works, and it works great with the XBox controller.

Graphics are great.

Sure its not as realistic (i.e. not much recoil), but thats one of the reason I like it.

Halo 2 wasn't as good, they didn't have some of my favorite maps from Halo 1 and the assault rifle was too realistic.

lol.. I was partial to the shock rifle... Nice shock combo... mmmm nothing better.
that and Sniper rifle. ooooooooo Loooove the sniper rifle. they still have yet to bring a good version of it back in the newer ones. theyre too slow. I used to use it in close combat

All it takes is practice, unless you just suck naturally at those types of games.

Counter Strike and Halo are the best FPS games IMO. You'll do bad at first, but after a while you should get much better.

i dont have an xbox 360 yet but i've played hitman :blood money for both normal and 360 and that game is awsome i also dont mind battlefield 2 online the single player is so gay and G.R.A.W was ok the online was the best just like the other ghost recon games.i hear fight night was amazing. but i'd suggest giving blood money a try ( if its out where you are)

No one has mentioned Prey.. its pretty good, with decent graphics, but COD2 is the best shooter on 360. Tomb Raider : Legend is a good game (for a rental), nice n pretty, brought life back to that ailing franchise. Dead Or Alive 4 is a smooth fighter, tad more difficult that the ones in the past because of the shorter time for countering. Moto GP 06 is the best racing game on the 360, I have played them all, and had most fun with it, and graphics are great.

Anyone mention arcade?? Mutant Storm Reloaded, Geometry Wars, and soon Galaga is gonna hit the scene in the next week or two...

In blood money you can now use human shields.

ya its great i've got the first 2 for pc. if my pc wasnt an p4 1.7 and i had a decient grapics card ( dont have the $$$$ for a good one) i'd pay games on the pc i hear battlefield 2 for pc is good have you played it?
