    Programmers Appearance (Poll)

We had a dumb blonde come in the office the other day and she said to my fellow programmer.

"You cant be a programmer, I thought all programmers have beards and wear sandles"

So I am starting an investigation here on VBForums.

And before anyone asks, Yes I would have offered to aid in her attempt to have babies if she had asked me
If you dribble then you are as mad as me

I'm clean shaven and I hate wearing sandals.

I do, however, wear glasses and am single. <--- That is the other definition of a programmer

Sandals - yes... except between the months of Nov - March when it gets cold and snows. But then I also get to wear t-shirts and shorts when ever too - we have no real dress code here other that basic decency applies (IE no birthday suits or thongs on the guys.)
Beard - from time to time.... sometimes I go months w/o shaving and sport the beard... sometimes I go clean shaven.

You should also ask how many are shaving. Ocean doesn't have a beard, but she doesn't have a beard for the same reason I have one: Neither one of us shaves.

I'm bearded, but the dress code prevents sandals. I'd also hurt myself if I wore them, so they are right out.

I occasionally wear sandals, but I can't grow a beard. I'm a hobbit. I shave, because otherwise I'd look like those teens who do tuning to their cars and desperately try to grow a moustache. And it isn't much of a pain to shave once or twice a week. I don't even wear glasses because my eyesight/vision is probably better than anyone else's on this forum.

I'd take you up on that eyesight challenge, though I'm getting older.

How to test? Make a black pixel on white background and then go guessing when can see/can't see it?

Better yet, I have a partially color blind boss, and a totally color blind employee. I make very colorful forms with many colorful buttons, and gleefully chuckle as they discuss which buttons are the same, and which are different.

Yes they do but I am now scared of you because the only reason a women would wear such hideous Sandals would be as an effective weapon against men like me
