    Run-time error 339: component 'imgthumb.ocx'

    Question
    I have Visual Basic 6 application on a computer with Windows 2000 professional with SP3 , the software developed/deployed is working well.
    but when the same software used in windows xp the below error is given.

    i get a "Run-time error 339: component 'imgthumb.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered; a file is missing or invalid."
    Can you suggest a process or method to systematically try to slove the error?
