Permission Denied on localhost???
Hello all.
I am working on my own computer, in my home... i.e. - not a network, not a web host. I'm trying to rename(), unlink(), touch(), etc. Basic stuff, but all of a sudden I'm getting Permission Denied errors. Any idea what might cause this?
Many thanks.

Re: Permission Denied on localhost???
What OS are you on? If your on windows you will need to set the correct permissions for the IUSR_computer_name, if you on linux then i think you need to give us some more info.

Re: Permission Denied on localhost???
Thanks john tindell. I'm on Win 2k. Windows is notorious for forgetting settings, which would explain why it just stopped.
A google of "IUSR_computer_name" returned a whopping 392 results. About half in English. Would you (or anyone else here) by chance know how to access this? Many, many thanks.

IUSR_computer_name is a built in account used by IIS. When you change the permissions on the files/folders see if it is listed their, if its not then you will need to browse for it it.

you can usually access this via computer management in control panel > administrator tools
