    Question Your Perferred Point System

    2 part question:

    • What point system do you perfer? (IE - Brownie points)
    • How would you describe someone/something that has a lot of these points?

And if someone has already picked your point system then make one up. heres an extra question.

    For me its:

    Point System: Kudos
    Adjective: Boo-koo
In a sentence: MartinLiss gets boo-koo kudo points for running such awesome forums.

This has got to earn a place in the scrap book of meaningless threads
    PHP || MySql || Apache || Get Firefox || OpenOffice.org || Click || Slap ILMV || 1337 c0d || GotoMyPc For FREE! Part 1, Part 2

    | PHP Session --> Database Handler * Custom Error Handler * Installing PHP * HTML Form Handler * PHP 5 OOP * Using XML * Ajax * Xslt | VB6 Winsock - HTTP POST / GET * Winsock - HTTP File Upload

Don't be too eager to pat yourself on the back. There have been much more random convo's than this

Some have been weirder by a couple of orders of magnitude.

Case in point: "The Golden Chair" (do a search)

    That is stupid.

nobody gets boo-koo points for anything, especially brownie points.

people get boo-koh points for things.

Quite possibly the worst thing that has every happened to an MMO. My brother did this and it was so biast. If you're in the guild that controls the points, you're basically a "made man" and get whatever you want. Plus, they'll share points so you can never follow who actually has used them and who hasn't.

Only if your guild is run by dicks. We use DKP and everyone is on the same level as the officers and the person how handles the DKP list. Of course we are also the only guild on our server left that has been going since release because all the others keep getting run into the ground by politics and break up constantly.

BTW I got my Thunderfury now. ^_^

I find the system to be pretty fair. Now mind you that i've only encountered it when all the members of the raid were guildies, so i can't speak for what happened to your brother. Also our guild doesn't allow sharing of dkp, and i would avoid any guild that does cause that's BS. I like that it rewards those who have been going to raids on a regular basis rather than relying on luck. Nothings more fustrating than waiting and waiting for rare drop to come up, and then to have a lucky SOB get the item on his first runs when i've been there patiently waiting for the last 20 or so (dang shoulders of valor). But really it all comes down to working with a group of people who are honest and fun to play with. Nothing sucks more then getting with a bunch of people who only care about getting loot.

It is a sad indictment of our conversational faculties that The Golden Chair has been running as long as it has.

I am planning to murder Bonker Gudd for this.
    I use VB 6, VB.Net 2003 and Office 2010

    Code:
Excel Graphing | Excel Timer | Excel Tips and Tricks | Add controls in Office | Data tables in Excel | Gaussian random number distribution (VB6/VBA,VB.Net) | Coordinates, Vectors and 3D volumes

Last night we took down Nefarian for the 2nd time and http://www.ktguild.net/dkp/viewitem.php?i=1405 dropped. Although another Warrior was higher in DKP than me, he passed the ring to me because he felt I deserved it more for being in the guild longer than him. He did it on his own free will. You won't find that on any other guild on our server.

True enough. I'm sure alot of people would rather recap then reroll. I haven't played in a few months, but I will probably rrjoin in oct and roll a BE. Just to see what they're like.

I keep hearing rumors about an AoE silence? Is it job related or class related?
