    New User registration problem

In the past week I have advised a couple of friends who are always bugging me for VB6 help to register on this forum.

They both reported the same issue:

Even 24 hours later the board had NOT sent them the registration e-mail; so they can log-on, but not post. (Yes, the e-mail addresses given were and are fully operative.)

There seems to be no button or option to ask for the registration to be sent again. The only option seems to be to re-register - but of course that name is now unavailable, so they choose a new name - and again there is no mail!

I can see a problem here as all the good names get used up on failed registration attempts. Are unused unregistered names purged by sysop from time to time?

Is this a general problem? Any solution?

Check the spam part of your e-mail account, maybe it is there.

Spam folders usually grab it. If their email is verizon or AOL, they will need another email to register with. Those block our emails before they ever get to the user. We've tried to contact them, they do not respond.

Although this may sound like a moot point, if you don't have a gmail account, PM me with your addresses and I'll send you invites.

I will not use your email address for any other purpose, and I will not give it to any third party.
