    XML-RPC ping

    I am lost when it comes to web stuff. So sorry for my ignorance. But I signed up at Technorati and want to automate the pings. ANyone done that before? I guess I can make a function that is called when I press the add new article button, but how would I send it? Is it at all possible to do server side? If so, any guid on how to pack the headers and then send this XML sheet over?

    Re: XML-RPC ping

    Use PEAR XML-RPC. I have detailed how to in this article:

    http://www.phpbuilder.com/columns/ad...s20060417.php3
    PHP || MySql || Apache || Get Firefox || OpenOffice.org || Click || Slap ILMV || 1337 c0d || GotoMyPc For FREE! Part 1, Part 2

    | PHP Session --> Database Handler * Custom Error Handler * Installing PHP * HTML Form Handler * PHP 5 OOP * Using XML * Ajax * Xslt | VB6 Winsock - HTTP POST / GET * Winsock - HTTP File Upload

    Latest quote: crptcblade - VB6 executables can't be decompiled, only disassembled. And the disassembled code is even less useful than I am.

    Re: XML-RPC ping

    Does your code require PHP 5 or something?

    Guess references are not allowed in PHP4, you should say it is a PHP 5 article then.. And simplexml_load_string is not in PHP4 either. Go hang your self and your tutorials..
