Do You C0d Russian Roulette Style?
I have 2 hours and 02 minutes left before the deadline on a high profile project (its 3:58 am) and I have probably written just over 50% so far. Up all night and only wrote a few lines of c0d. I think I just like the challenge of it all or perhaps I just dont want to work on this project.
I am on my third large cup of coffee, made a few midnight snacks (Mmmm), posted on VBF (probably about 5 posts), paid some bills on-line, and have made little effort to write any c0d.
Do you guys ever get a project that you c0d like this?

Re: Do You C0d Russian Roulette Style?
I do notice that when I write c0d for vbf members I have no problems doing it. But give me a project that has specifications like a freaking NASA mission and 47 pages on just a Bar Code!
Just give me what I need to know and I'll be done with it.

If I where you, I would defragmentate my memory. You have too much **** on your hands, and take too little respnsebility. This is serious. You don't just post crap in CC. Someone could search for code in CC and find yours, and copy paste it. As I see it, this is the end of the world..

Re: Do You C0d Russian Roulette Style?
I love coding this way. Every now and then I get that request that needs to be done ASAP.
"Derrick, we need to have this changed before the markets open tomorrow. The producers and board are getting upset; we can't wait any longer."
"What time do the markets open?"
"9am tomorrow. So you should have plenty of time..."
"I'll get on it tomorrow... 8am sharp."
It's usually followed by a sick look of disgust with every orifice on their face trying to scream "don't you take your job seriously, this had better work!!" Instead, they're choked back with tears and sweat. Some are so suffocated, they redden and pulsate as fear disperses the blood in their veins leaving it with no place to go but the surface. Since the body cannot run on fear alone, the lungs start overpowering the heart in hopes to recover. This fruitless attempt produces nothing more then violent seething. If this person didn't have a family history of heart problems; you have just altered their genetics.
"Make it 8:30am."

Finished with 3 minutes to spare!!!!
That is unless there is a time sync variance. I think I got it FTP'd by 8 am CST as its a 2 hour time difference.
wOOt! Now I can start posting on VBF as soon as I send an email to them for a follow up.
I'm burning out and getting tired. The coffee isnt working as good as it was last night.

Email sent to the big brass at my client and Boeing.
Waiting for phone to ring (its 6 am where I am at) about how fantastic of a job I did
I also added transmittal logging/support in an Access form/report solution. Maybe one year they can upgrade to 2003. Then I can use VSTO 2005 and include XP theme support.
