Run time error # 3426 on updates

I am having a problem with my text boxes that represent date fields coming from an access database.

When the record is in edit or add new mode and I click on the field and delete whatever is inside then try to update the record I get a run time error # 3426 "this action was cancelled by an associated object.

Would you know what could be causing this to happen?

If I had to guess, I'd bet your date fields are not set to accept nulls.
