Unfortunately....I have been looking for a restaurant that serves curry since the first time it was brought up in here and I haven't found one so, although I appreciate your efforts, chances are it won't do me any good :-(

The Raptor is presently a homeing pidgeon and won't be leaving it's roost for a while......there are little boys with M-16s to assure it stays there!

Curry may be the best thing next to sex but not worth that much risk!

I guess that cuts out SR-71s as well - you could have got your curry still hot!

Since you people seem to know a thing or two about planes - anyone care to enlighten me as to how the Fishbed got its name? It's always puzzled me.

    Well Barrk's the expert but
an F22 Raptor (Barrk's original picture) is the 'new' Stealth Fighter and is - as we are told - very nice and very hush hush. I think it replaces both the F14 and F15 (Can that really be true?? Am I confused ?)

The SR-71 is the Blackbird which is the fastest Jet airplane. Its a bit restricted in which runways it can (could?) use I think (especially over here). Katie lives right next to one super long set of runways and I live near to Upper Heyford (super long USAF runway in UK) so I though we could get a curry to her very quickly that way without it getting cold . Whether any SR-71s are actually still in service I don't know and I guess we are talking about a six figure sum to fly one transatlantic but still . . .

Katie, not Barrk...she doesn't like it

So that's why Katie's doing lots on flight performance for the F22 So is it still in the prototype stage?

Whatever happened to the YF-23? Got dropped in favour of the F22? A bit like the JSF competition I guess.

NASA is still using the blackbird to test the engines for the X-33. The Spirit is the B-2 Bomber!

Thank you P - and apologies Katie (I didn't want to be too forward - stiff upper lips and all that [sounds like the wrong thread!]!)

Who were the competitors for that, just out of interest?

And what about the Fishbed?! I must know!

Katie - Thanks. I saw pictures on that site, but nothing about how it got the name. Am I just going blind as I'm told I should be?

Amazing! So what is its current performance and ceiling? I had heard that they were withdrawn in 1993 but I was not sure.

I didn't realise that there was a "get-the-feds-to-take-Katie-away-and-lock-her-up faction on these boards"
