    [color=navy]You can use the Word Object Model to automate Word and merge the documents.

    VB Code:
    1. Option Explicit
    2. 'Add a reference to MS Office Word xx.0 Object Library
    3.
    4. Private Sub Command1_Click()
    5.     Dim oApp As Word.Application
    6.     Dim oDoc As Wrod.Document
    7.
    8.     Set oApp = New Word.Application
    9.     Set oDoc = oApp.Documents.Open("C:\Document1.doc")
    10.     'Do reading stuff or writting?
    11.     '...
    12.     oDoc.Close SaveChanges:=True
    13.     Set oDoc = Nothing
    14.     oApp.Quit
    15.     Set oApp = Nothing
    16. End Sub
