    Angry M$ Marketing...

    why the hell microsoft use so many oriental people in the Visual Studio Installation screens... whats their strategy...

    It's probably because that area of the world often goes for Linux etc, so MS are trying to be more "friendly" and less American.

    Whats their strategy? I would imagine they are doing what their title is... marketing. Population of asia? 3.6 billion. Population of the U.S.? 300 Million. Thats more than a 10 fold larger market. Asia consists of over half of the world's population...

    On a side note, only about 360 million of Asians are online, almost about 10 percent.

    MS is doing a better job today of verifying a valid install of Windows, for instance - without the validation you cannot download service packs and so on...

    So the market will be available for new sales in the future - and that market is truly huge.

    It is of more interest to them to globalize the market with Windows, even if it is pirated.
