Should I Take A Mcp Or Mcse Or Mcad,
should I take a MCP or MCSE or MCAD
should I take a MCP or MCSE or MCAD
Hi ,
I am running a small sized software company. I am a pro in Visual basic 6.0. I develop database applications using access and crystal reports. I did my UG in B.Sc with physics. I have no degree or certification in Computers. I am now in the Idea of winding up my software company and get into some company as a programmer .
I am getting job interviews but after telephoninc interviews and things they reject on the basis that I dont have a computer degree. So I decided to get a microsoft certification on VB.NET.
I would like you guys to advise me on the following.
1)Can Microsoft vb.net certification earn me a job (Is it that hot)
2)If yes then please tell me which exam should I take. I am terribly confused about those
MCAD/MCSE/MCP things.
Please help me take a decision thank you.

Re: Should I Take A Mcp Or Mcse Or Mcad,
An MS certification doesn't, of course, give you a job automatically but it is a great help and strength to be able to show it. The question isn't really if you become a MCP, MCAD, or a MCSE, you should probably aim for MCSE but start by taking the MCAD route. As soon as you have successfully taken one of the exams you are entitled to call yourself MCP, but there are at least two exams you'll need to take to call yourself MCAD and a couple more before you may call yourself MCSE.

MCSE? Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer? I'm taking that right now, it has nothing to do with programming. It's for network administration. I reccomend MCSD.
