Thumbs up VB Programmer (VB6 or VB.NET)

    Original Link: http://www.higherknowledge.ca/careers/viewtopic.php?t=3

HigherKnowledge.ca is looking for a programmer to create a very simple program. Most likely, it will take less than two hours to complete. If this program works perfectly and you let us keep the source code, we can pay you $50 CND.

HK is located in Toronto but programmers anywhere can apply.
Send a PM to Datacide on this forum if you would like to apply.

    Thanks, yo!

    Datacide:

"HigherKnowledge.ca is looking for a Visual Basic programmer to create an application for us. This program will go online to a certain website and copy information to post back to HigherKnowledge.ca."

Wow, $50.00 Canadian Dollars which equals about $42.70 U.S. Dollars.

I am sure you will be overwhelmed with responses.

    Good Luck

Hey, I'd code that. For CDN$50? I could buy a new ... uh, can you buy anything new for CDN$50 these days? For 2 hours work? And you get all rights to the source?

I don't know how they do things in Canada this week, but a good contract programmer should still be getting around $150/hour and you get rights to the executable and full documentation.

Re: VB Programmer (VB6 or VB.NET)

I've created a pretty ghetto version of the program. It's really not complicated. I'm just looking for a better coded version, a better solution to how I'm currently doing it. It works perfectly though, as you can see at www.HigherKnowledge.ca/careers. The postings by the Job-Bot are made by my program, the 2nd .NET program I've created thus far.

It's obviously a simple program if I can make it, that's why I'm only paying $50. It doesn't take more than two hours to code, for experts it'll probably take like 40 minutes. And I would like the source so that I can make updates to it as I change the website around since the site is still kinda in the development stages. Anyways, if you want a quick $50 bucks to improve on my code and be glorified on the site, PM me.

Any expert will tall you that only a rank beginner would even think of starting to code after spending only 40 minutes on the problem.

You're right.... I start right in after only 5 minutes (10 at the most).
