[02/03] Need something similar to GIS for .NET (more inside)

Basically, what I need is the ability to color certain areas (lots) for a site map for a construction site (similar to what you would see in a sales office for homes/condos). It would show a different color for certain lots if they're sold for example.

It will not need to be interactive, I just need something that can read from a DB and change the lot colors and send the final product as a jpg for internet use. I hope that makes sense, it is Monday

I found programs that will allow you to make the .shp files for this purpose, but nothing to allow me to create the results and save it to another format (jpg/gif/png/etc) to display on the internet. If someone can point me in the right direction, that would be great.

PS: I have posted something similar to this awhile back, but it required it to be interactive, I was hoping that it not being interactive may change the pricing a bit =)

Did you mean GDI? I don't know what GIS is, but GDI+ is what you need for graphics in .NET. It makes it easy to save as a BMP or JPG and I think it can do PNG also.

Try this tutorial for information on GDI+.
