VB on CD

I'm trying to put vb and visual studio on my lab top so i followed the steps about burning it to a cd. and i done so but i am still gettting the iso file.
I'm not getting the setupfile they said i should be getting.

has anyone ever burnt Visual studio to a cd and got it to work on a different pc?
if so can u tell me how.

You're going to have to use nero or the like to extract the ISO file and then burn that to CD, buring the actual ISO file will not work, as you already know. I believe nero has a wizard for that. Alternatively, you could download a program like daemon tools, or alcohol and mount the ISO image file to a virtual drive. and run the setup from there.

Roxio EZCD Creator also supports burning iso images to cd.

Whenever I get an ISO image, I burn the whole thing to a CD. I think I have used both Roxio and Nero. However, in both, it isn't the same thing as copying data to a CD. If I remember correctly, both of those programs have a menu option of "burn image to disc" or something like that.

Alternatively, you might try double-clicking on the ISO image. If you have one of those programs installed, it might be registered as the default program for handling .iso files, in which case it should take you to the right process automatically.

In Roxio its "Record CD from CD image" under the File menu.

I used ISO Recorder - once installed, you can simply right-click and ISO file and select the option to burn it.

Daemon Tools is great for mounting lots of disk image types, I highly recommend it. Much faster than burning and reading a CD.

If I have to burn an image to CD I use Blindwrite which is also very good.
