    Question

    Hello,

I have both Outlook, and Outlook Express installed on my computer. Outlook is for the families email, and Outlook Express is for mine. The contacts are shared. Ex: If I had a contact to Outlook, it's there in Outlook Express and Vica Versa. Is there anyway I can prevent this from happening? I want to have my own contact list, and have it not accessable from Outlook.

    Thanks,
    Dennis

Use File Menu --> Identities. to create a New Identity (password Protected)

Then Switch Identities Whenever You need to.

that is quite effective.. but it takes some time to switch identities and also you have to configure all your accounts again.. but i think thats the only way out..

BTW, Active you completely abandoned your old ID?

Don't you get to say which file your contacts are saved in?

    You could use Eudora.

I don't think you can choose which file your contacts are in...

BTW, how is Eudora? The other day I was thinking of buying it, but I decided not to for some reason.

Eudora seems okay to me. I've hardly used it though. There's Eudora Light, which is equivalent to Outlook Express (ie. the freebie version) so you could try that. That's the version I've tried actually.
