Assembly tutorials?
Hello everyone. I deceided to make a new thread. As most people seen my other thread so let's drop C AND C++ as i belive Assembly is the easiest between these 3 languages? Correct me if i'm wrong? Is there any Basic beginner tutorials and Assembly or ANSI C which ever is the easiest to learn? I would to build an OS by myself.

Then you might be interested in taking a look at http://www.menuetos.org/
Yes, there are tutorials out there. Search for them. I find it easyer to just get a book on it though and learn from that. The book I used is http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/013...Fencoding=UTF8 but there are others.

Re: Assembly tutorials?
As far as your question, any high level language is easier than assembly.

Re: Assembly tutorials?
I don't think they banned you. However, you did ask the wrong question in the wrong forum. That forum was for programming for menuetos or programming operating systems. You asked for a general assembly tutorials - see http://www.vbforums.com/showthread.php?t=400522.
You'll need to get up to speed with assembly before you can start pumping out an OS.
Believe me, a simple bootable OS is damned easy. However, if you wanted to get GFX support, Sound support, you'd rather die first. Hell even Linux has difficulty to get hardware support for various some things....and its the closest competitor to Microsoft yet miles away. Unless you've got iron will, and a lot of time and effort on this idea... I do not recommend this as a viable choice of project. However, by all means go ahead if you plan just to do a simple OS or something.
I would to build an OS by myself.
does suggest otherwise though.
