VBF on CodeZone
http://msdn.microsoft.com/community/codezone/
Is there a reason this site isn't listed in the Online Communities?

Re: VBF on CodeZone
May be because those sites are primarily 'tutorial/article/source code sites', not 'discussion forums/newsgroups'.

Dunno.... seems like the do include forums and such.... but... it sounds like to be considered, you have to submit your site.... so it maybe that the powers that be here haven't submitted VBF... or if they have, then it was either turned down or hasn't been processed yet.

Re: VBF on CodeZone
A bunch of forums, including Codeguru, are listed, and since we focus on a lot of Microsoft technologies maybe it would be a good idea to submit this site if it hasn't been considered already.

CG and DevX are both on there and both have sections for articles and such. I would think that we are just as worthy as either of the two. We should definately find out why.

Didn't I point this out int the mod section when I was a mod. Didn't Brad answer in that thread and said he was working on it?

Yes, but we just need to wait for a new update from Brad.

Re: VBF on CodeZone
There are a number of reasons VBForums is not listed in the help section of Visaul studio (as well as in the other Community Searchs from Microsoft such as on MSDN and various Microsoft owned sites).
The primary sites that are in the community searchs are Codezone sites. These are sites that are a part of the Microsoft Codezone recognition. There is a very limited number of sites from the United States in this program (and a lot of foreign sites as well). There are specific requirements for getting into the program. DevX and Codeguru (which I oversee in addition to this stie) both meet the criteria. This site, being primarily a forum, does not at this time.
So you are aware, DevX and Codeguru are both substantially bigger sites than this one. This site has a very large amount of traffic and this site continues to grow; however, it has a long way to go to get to the level of DevX and Codeguru. VBForusm is, however, growing faster than those two.... (which is easier to do when you are smaller).
What is linked to from Microsoft is the articles on those sites. This site does not have an article section. Additionally, simply doing articles within vBulletin would not be adequate because there is specific mark-up that has to be included with the articles and on the site.
Brad!

Or add a few punctuation marks and spaces in the name to get their attention...
"VB For U, MS!"
