    Save emulator state causing problem

I made the mistake of saving the state when closing down my app on the Visual Studio 2005 emulator. I made a change to the program and now when I try to deploy the app I get this error...

Error 1 Deployment and/or registration failed with error: 0x8973190e. Error writing file '%CSIDL_PROGRAM_FILES%\ASWPortrait\ASWPortrait.exe'. Error 0x80070020: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process

Is there any way to prevent the emulator from loading the state? I deleted the .vsv file hoping this would solve the problem but there is no difference. I tried shutting down VS 2005 and restarting but it did not work. I even restarted my computer to clear the memory to no avail. Any ideas?

Re: Save emulator state causing problem

I am still getting an error when trying to start the program. The message says, "The data necessary to complete this operation is not yet available."
When I start hte app the emulator says it is restoring state. Could this be related to the deletion of the .vsv file and if so is there a way to get the emulator back to its original way of working? In the meantime, I am using one of the other emulators but it is not the same kind as that which will use the program I am developing.

Im receiving also receiving the same error sometimes using a Bluetooth usb adapter with ActiveSync when the .exe is deploying on the pda at 30%, Ive seen changing the COM port works most of the times.
Just unplug the usb stick into another usb and it will run fine.

Also try a soft or hard reset.
