What can I expect to pay per hour for an experianced asp.net programmer?

For some nuts reason my manager wants to hire a contract person to do his small amount of work while leaving me alone to do the bulk of the work

Contracters are on a LOT of money, but then they have less job security because if the company needs to cut costs they will be first to go and bear in mind some of that £49 goes the contract company you got the contractor from

I figured an average but about $75 - $95 with no agencies involved. It depends on the type, length, and complexity of the project as well as the clients revenue potential.
